NamWheels, Galimoto Media’s flagship publication, announced the results of their Car of the Year 2021 competition today.

A total of eight vehicles were selected as finalists by the publication’s journalists from the many press vehicles they reviewed last year (2021). The final voting was left to the public by way of liking the relevant post/s on the publication’s Instagram page. NamWheels also selected a random winner of an automotive hamper from the many participants.
After hundreds of votes were tallied up, the eventual winner was the 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 D300 X. The Mercedes-AMG E53 Coupé was runner-up while Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza 1.5 GLX placed third. The final scores (in percentages of total votes) were as follows:
- Land Rover Defender 110 D300 X 19%
- Mercedes-AMG E-Class E53 Coupe 16%
- Suzuki Vitara Brezza 1.5 GLX 15%
- VW T-Roc 2.0TSi 4Motion R-Line 13%
- Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 11%
- Volvo XC60 D5 11%
- Honda Fit Executive 8%
- Fiat 500 Dolcevita AMT 7%
