Nissan was onto something long before the car-making crowd realised that most of the planet suddenly craved a soft-roader SUV. Although we sometimes wonder why they complicated things with the name…

Sprint Review: Nissan Magnite
Totally unplanned, the same week that the Nissan Magnite arrived in our test fleet, we also received its cousin, a Renaulitious Kiger. (So it appeared)
Comparison: Nissan Magnite vs. Renault Kiger
One shared platform, two different cars: the Magnite and Kiger are practically siblings but their characters are like chalk and cheese. Read on to find out which one’s a powdery mess while the other one is a creamy delight…
Sprint Review: Nissan Qashqai 1.2T Midnight Edition
An Amarok, CX-5, Ranger and Qashqai walk into a bar. Stop me if you’ve heard the one about special black editions…

Padtoets: Nissan NP300 2.5D High D/C 4×4
Tested: Nissan NP300 Hardbody 2.5 TDi D/C 4×4
One star. ONE! Sheesh, can you believe the so-called nerve of these so-called people? First they sell us some completely outdated relic from the late nineties and now we find out that it only gets one of five brownie points for some modern crash test rating. This is an outrage. Outrage, I tell you!
Padtoets: 2018 Nissan Micra Acenta Plus
‘n Ouer tiener met meer selfvertroue
Die Nissan Micra het nog altyd ietwat gesukkel met ‘n identiteitskrisis. Tydens my studentejare was die Micra bekend as die kar waarin vroulike studente hul grimering doen terwyl hulle (onwetend) deur rooi ligte versnel.
Sprint Review: Nissan Micra 66kW turbo Acenta Plus
A rejuvenated compact hatchback, lots of information in short paragraphs.
What you need to know: The Nissan Micra was never a huge sales success – well, at least not in Namibia – but it always represented a solid second choice to the evergreen Polo or once-popular Yaris. And just like those two chief rivals, this Nissan has shaken its frumpy image in favour of a much sharper design and cool tech.
Tested: 2018 Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCi Tekna
The shiny details
Love or hate its name, that compact Nissan SUV with the strange badge is here to stay. And where I lamented the recent loss of identity by its bigger X-Trail sibling, this second-generation Qashqai is quite a handsome machine. Its first incarnation looked a bit… librarian.
