The 2023 Simola Hillclimb saw a total of 84 entries across all categories, anything from normal road going vehicles to single seater formula cars. As in 2022, the weather also played a major role, but this time, the rain covered the 1.9km track on the last day, rather than during the qualifying runs on Saturday.
The iconic Simola Hillclimb in South Africa is set for its 13th year and judging by the action seen at the #ClassicCarFriday event, as well as the 2023 Simola Hillclimb parade, spectators are in for one of the best editions yet. If you could not make your way to Knysna in person, do not fear as there are multiple ways to virtually attend this magnificent event.
The picturesque Knysna region was left silent in 2020 as COVID-19 restrictions left the iconic Simola Hillclimb being postponed until 2021. While regulations are still proving this event to roar up the hill in early 2021, the event is set to be rescheduled for the weekend of 2-5 September 2021.
