NamWheels.com, Namibia’s favourite online motoring portal, announced the winners of their Car of the Year 2022 competition today.
A total of nine (9) vehicles were selected as finalists by the publication’s journalists, chosen from the dozens of press vehicles they reviewed last year.
Here are the finalist vehicles in alphabetical order:
- Haval H6 AWD
- Honda Civic RS
- Hyundai Tucson 2.0D Elite
- Jaguar iPace EV400
- Kia Carnival 2.2 CRDi
- Mercedes-Benz C220d
- Suzuki Baleno 1.5 GL
- Toyota Yaris GR Four / Rally
- Volkswagen Taigo 1.0TSi R-Line
The final voting was left entirely to the public who were invited to like the relevant post/s on social media. NamWheels also selected a random winner of an automotive hamper; for casting their vote/s.
The winning vehicle, Mercedes-Benz’ C220d Avantgarde Sedan, achieved the majority of public votes on the NamWheels Instagram page. Runner-up is the Haval H6 AWD Luxury while third place goes to the new Volkswagen Taigo 1.0TSi R-Line.
