Oor die jare heen het ons almal ‘n persepsie van BMWs ontwikkel; vinnige en sportiewe sedans en coupés met ongeëwenaarde padhouvermoë. Toe die BMW-1-reeks, met sy luikrug ontwerp, ’n paar jaar gelede op die toneel verskyn het, het dit nogal ‘n tyd geneem om gewoond aan te raak.

The erratic eagerness
The BMW One Series was launched in 2004 as a further bid from the jolly Bavarians to fill yet another market gap: the luxury hatchback. We could probably argue about the definition of a luxury hatchback all day and all night, but I wasn’t the only one who disliked the 1-Series.
