Hyundai se Venue gereed om meer aan te durf
Sedert Hyundai se Venue, 4-jaar gelede die klein-SUV mark aangevat het, het hierdie einste mark veel meet mededingend geword. Veel meer nasies het die stryd aangedurf en ’n grote markaandeel vanaf die Suid-Koreaners geneem. Nou, met ‘n “nuwe” gesig, is die Indiese vervaardigde Venue, slaggereed om die aandeel in hul guns te draai.
Many, many years ago, when the internet was still black and white, I met a girl on a dating site and she was happily piloting her second Hyundai i20. It turned out that she rolled the first one but, upon emerging unscathed with her beloved collie dog, immediately purchased another.
Most people would dismiss an affordable Hyundai hatchback as dreary but our tester begs to differ.
Roughly three years ago I reviewed the then-new Hyundai Grand i10 and, besides a few upset Getz owners, had nothing but praise to bestow upon the accomplished Korean. Now though, after a mild facelift, things didn’t seem as rosy as when I first got acquainted to the compact hatchback.
Today, the Hyundai Grand i10 and I would like to teach you a lesson. Don’t worry; it’s not the hurting kind but rather the opposite – small cars can be fun. The harsh reality is that practicality and price rule when your budget is tighter than two coats of paint but you shouldn’t settle for something cheap ‘n nasty.
