Please excuse my nonsensical ramblings this week; I’ve just had two of my wisdom teeth extracted. Despite being twice as stupid as before, I finally decided to compose a comparative test between two cars I drove back-to-back: the new Honda Ballade and Renault Fluence.
Met die bekendstelling van die nuwe Fluence, was die plaaslike bestuur van Renault baie eerlik om te erken dat alles die afgelope paar jaar in Suid-Afrika nie reg geloop het nie. Hulle is ook baie ernstig om dit reg te stel en om so die negatiewe persepsies wat kopers van die modelle en diens het, om te swaai.
“I hope this car doesn’t end up being a tragic hero” mumbles my co-driver on the recent launch of the new Alfa-Romeo Giulietta. “You know mos, a fantastic car that everyone ignores” he concludes while we negotiate hundreds of kilometers on scenic Boland back roads.
Although I’m not exactly a fan of summer, I tend to agree with its fans when they complain about recurring climates with five sunny days followed by two days of miserable weather; otherwise referred to as a weekend.
I’m afraid I can’t think of any clever lines or catchy quotes for this week’s car, probably because my French is so rotten. That didn’t diminish my enthusiasm for NamWheels’ latest test vehicle; the new Renault Megane hatchback.
