Mere minutes ago I realised that I have an unnerving affection for American cars. Despite my personal preferences, I quite like most Dodge efforts, secretly lust after an old Corvette and regard Jeep as one of the most esteemed badges in the business.
Suzuki South Africa recently launched the new rendition of their funky B-segment contender, the Swift. Blessed with cute looks, a peppy engine and responsive chassis, I always promoted the little nugget over the sheepish masses’ choice of competing Japanese and German products.

I’ve typed it before and I’ll type it again; I love a random pleasant surprise by having my expectations exceeded. When a dark grey Chevy Cruze dieselled its way into my life it had a rather steep hill to climb as my expectations were low to non-existent.

Please excuse my nonsensical ramblings this week; I’ve just had two of my wisdom teeth extracted. Despite being twice as stupid as before, I finally decided to compose a comparative test between two cars I drove back-to-back: the new Honda Ballade and Renault Fluence.
Pass the caviar and that black credit card; I’m still high from driving a car so superior and luxurious that only real Beluga and serious retail therapy will cure my withdrawal symptoms. The Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG is near the top of Merc’s price list and makes damn sure you (and others) know about it.

Nach meinem letzten Testwagen dröhnt mir der Kopf und der Rausch des Überflusses wird garantiert nur mit echtem Beluga und schweren Einkäufen vernichtet. Ein Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG wohnt am oberen Ende der Mercedes Preisliste und macht sicher daß Sie (und Andere) es auch merken.
Usually I approach bright, new packaging with a hefty dose of mistrust but in the automotive world I welcome freaky hues and multi-colour interiors with open arms. Our roads are far too polluted by white and silver cars with black interiors so I immediately took a shine to the Opel Corsa Colour Edition.
