Over the years I’ve made some conclusions about cars and I’m more than happy to share one of them with you now. If you’re after a performance car, run your finger to the most powerful end of a showroom price list and slide it down one notch. That’s right, don’t buy a BMW M3. Buy a 340i.
Here’s our list of cars we tested in 2015 which made such a good impression that we just had to tell you about them…
I’ve been so looking forward to testing the latest offering from Volvo. There’s been massive hype around the launch and I was privileged enough to get an early insight into this rather impressive SUV during August of this year, but it’s always even better to be able to poke around, fiddle with new knobs and dials and really get to grips with a new vehicle during a test week.
This time we focus on one of thee most important features a new car can offer – its headlights. Available with multiple assistants and very cool names, these systems are adapted to each vehicle and offer the driver maximum light in most situations. LED (light emitting diodes) are the current forerunners but we are still fond of a good Xenon setup. And what does the future hold? The next step in automotive lighting is lasers. Beam us up!
So you live in Outjo but work in Gobabis?
Don’t fear, we’ve made a list of cars that can go the furthest on one filling of the tank. You know, when the attendant does that whole click-click nozzle trick. Of course we need to remind you that these figures are based on claimed consumption and tank figures, your results may vary and depend on driving style, load and prevailing conditions. If you’re a high miler though, this list is a good start.
Volvo is known for building safe, reliable family cars and their big seven-seater XC90 SUV has always typified this. While the outgoing model was still a great car, a wave of fresh design and new technology is sweeping through the Swedish manufacturer with this brand-new XC90 at the pointy end.

Maar die mindere kans beteken nie dat dit ‘n mindere motor is nie; inteendeel, die Sweed hang saam met die bestes uit wat kwaliteit, toerusting, verrigting en prys betref. Saamgevat, waarde vir geld.
