If there’s one thing we took away from the launch of the new Kia Sorento, it’s certainly that Kia South Africa is on the move. Behind the scenes, there’s been a quiet transformation — one that’s already starting to show real results in the numbers, the showrooms, and most importantly, on the roads.

The facelifted 2024/2025 Kia Sorento has arrived in Southern Africa with several updates that push it further into the premium SUV space. While the vehicle keeps its core dimensions and engine, the design, technology, and interior quality have all been significantly improved.
You are now looking at a Hyundai Santa Fe. Except that you’re not. This is called a Kia Sorento, and while it may look very different to its Korean cousin, they were, in fact, separated at birth.
Does anybody still buy big MPV van things? Kia certainly thinks – or hopes – so.
So it’s finally holiday time and you’re off to the coast with your boat to visit the in-laws. Or perhaps your daughter got a new horse for Christmas? In both cases you have our sympathy.
