Mercedes-Benz het tans ‘n geweldige kopseer, of so bleik dit in die onlangse nuus opskrifte. Met slegte verkope mag die nuwe X-klas dalk vanaf die mark getrek word. Dit is net mooi gedurende hierdie tydperk waar die (duurste) X350d dubbel-kajuit 4Matic “Power” aan ons toegerus is.
Dubbel kajuit bakkies is besig om die Suider-Afrikaanse mark ietwat op sy kop te draai. Nie net vermeerder die aankope van nuwe Sports nut voertuie nie, maar ook die aankope van bakkies vir private gebruik. Nie meer word die bakkie gesien as net ‘n werks voertuig nie, maar eerder ‘n “twee-vliee-met-een-klap” voertuig, wat ook as ‘n familie voertuig kan dien. Maar wil almal noodwendig 4×4 ry?
What you need to know: I feel sorry for the Nissan Navara, don’t you? What used to be a big, powerful, albeit expensive bakkie is now mostly known for being the basis of the new Mercedes X-Class. And don’t people just go out of their way to tell you about it, as if nobody else knew, as if they’re imparting fresh gossip. Yawn.
Nissan het sowat agt jaar geneem om die nuwe Navara bakkie uit te bring, maar daar is belowe dat dit ‘n nuwe bakkie in die meer luukse bakkie segment sal wees. Kompeterend met die Volkswagen Amarok en soortgelyke opsies, word die geklasifiseer as ‘n werks-, maar ook familie vriendelike voertuig. Was die wag vir die nuwe Navara egter die moeite werd?
It’s been a long time coming because a lot of time was spent ensuring Nissan’s latest bakkie can master local conditions. The company said the same thing at the press launch in Australia so one wonders just how different our conditions might be.
