Padtoets: Toyota Hilux 2.8 Turbodiesel

Tested: Audi Q7 3.0 TDi Quattro

The smaller size

Bigger is always better, right? Well, that probably depends on who you ask so let’s keep our minds out of the gutter and firmly pinned on automobiles. With global trends of dwindling resources and heavier traffic, rising taxes and fuel bills, it’s no wonder Audi decided to shove its Q7 flagship SUV into the gym.

Sprint Review: BMW 320d (Sport)

One new car, lots of information in random paragraphs.

Some facts: The BMW 3-Series has always been the sporting driver’s choice and I’ll get straight to it – it still is. While other car makers are trying to infuse youthful dynamism into their machines, BMW just keeps filing away little-by-little at this winning recipe. In fact, this new model looks like they haven’t filed at all…

Padtoets: Volkswagen Polo Bluemotion 1.0 TSI

Padtoets: Nissan Qashqai Acenta dCi

Langpad Lanie

Padtoets: GWM Steed 5E 2.0 TD Xscape

Tested: Jaguar XF V6 Supercharged

The decadent abundance

Last week I tested an excellent mid-size luxury sedan with a very economical diesel engine, which made my review quite easy. This week, I face the opposite end of the scale and a bit of a problem. You see, the beautiful Jaguar XF to which I currently hold the key has a rather thirsty, supercharged petrol V6.

Tested: Volvo S60 D4

The party trick

Up to now, I’ve only ever tested the Volvo S60 with a petrol engine. Just like the rest of their range, Volvo’s medium-sized executive sedan is available with a choice between six engines, two gearboxes, front- or all-wheel-drive and four spec levels. This right here is the middle-child D4 turbo-diesel.

Tested: Audi A8 V8T

The understated confidence

Sometimes I wonder if car reviews are actually read and appreciated by the subject’s prospective buyer. Whereas I’m sure that small hatchback and family sedan shoppers do a substantial amount of homework before hitting the showrooms, do the punters of an Audi A8 long wheelbase do the same?
