Bekendstelling: Hyundai Santa Fe [2013]

The renewed charge

The Honda CR-V enjoys quite a strong following in our neck of the woods, primarily due to its versatility, comfort, quality and incredible reliability. As the fourth generation ties its laces in the starting block, you may even find first or second generation cars still motoring around your neighbourhood.

Tested: 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero Legend

Pajero legend includes N$120 000 worth of accessories

I’ve recently become very aware of how much of a selling a point a car full of gadgets is, particularly for those more outdoor-orientated types. This point was driven home recently when I test-drove Mitsubishi’s Pajero Legend – a limited edition of the popular 4th generation Pajero 3.2 Di –D GLX  – complete with a rather generous supply of gear and gadgetry to tempt any 4×4 enthusiast into the bush.

Launched: Audi A3 [2012]

The new popularity

I’ve bought quite a few cars over the years and my shortlists usually included some or other derivative of a car which I believe to be a sensible and beautifully engineered hatchback. It’s never been the most affordable and I’m yet to own one so my admiration of the Audi A3 lives on.

Bekendstelling: Volkswagen CC [2012]

Tested: 2012 Mitsubishi ASX

The flash accessory

Vying for your attention this week is the Mitsubishi ASX, a crossover SUV that arrived fashionably late in the world of “Honey, let’s buy a 4×4 that isn’t a 4×4.” You or I could criticise and mock all we like but this niche of the market is alive and well.

Tested: 2011 Audi A6 3.0 TFSi quattro

The middle choice

So the year’s almost over and you’ve been playing with the idea of a new luxury German car. The C-Class, A4 and 3-Series are just too obvious and plentiful. The A8, Seven and S-Class are too big, which just leaves you with the 5-Series, E-Class or the new Audi A6.
